Privacy Policy
How Vifose handles your data across our website and applications, including Vifose Forge.
Last updated: August 24, 2026
1. Who we are
Vifose ("we", "us", "our") builds software for content creators, including the Vifose Forge desktop application and this website (vifose.com). This policy explains what data we collect, how it's used, and how you can control it.
2. Vifose Forge is a local application
Vifose Forge runs entirely on your own computer. Your projects, scripts, generated assets, and settings are stored in files on your local disk — not on servers we operate. We do not have access to your projects unless you explicitly send them to us (for example, attaching a file to a support request).
3. Connected accounts (YouTube, TikTok)
Forge can connect to your YouTube and TikTok accounts, with your explicit authorization, so it can upload videos on your behalf. When you connect an account:
- You are redirected to YouTube's or TikTok's own sign-in and consent screen — we never see your account password.
- The access/refresh tokens YouTube or TikTok issue are stored in your operating system's secure credential store (e.g. Windows Credential Manager), on your own device. They are not transmitted to or stored on any Vifose server.
- Forge uses these tokens only to call the YouTube Data API or TikTok Content Posting API directly from your device — to upload a video, set its title/description/thumbnail, or check upload status — and only when you run or schedule a publish.
- You can disconnect an account at any time from the channel settings in Forge, which deletes the stored tokens from your device and revokes Forge's access.
4. TikTok-specific data use
Forge integrates with TikTok's Content Posting API to publish videos you've created to your own TikTok account, using the video.publish scope. We only request the minimum access needed to post content on your behalf. Forge does not read your TikTok feed, followers, or any other TikTok data beyond what's required to complete an upload and confirm its status. Until a TikTok app has completed TikTok's audit process, TikTok itself restricts uploads to private ("only me") visibility, regardless of what a user selects.
5. Third-party AI and API providers
To generate scripts, images, voiceovers, and other assets, Forge calls third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or image/voice generation services) using API keys that you supply and that are stored locally on your device. Content you generate is sent to whichever provider you've configured, subject to that provider's own privacy policy. Vifose does not operate or have access to these AI services.
6. What we collect on this website
When you use the contact form on vifose.com, we collect the information you submit (name, email, message) solely to respond to your inquiry. If you make a purchase, payment is processed by our payment provider — we do not store your full card details ourselves.
7. What we don't do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your YouTube/TikTok account data for advertising or share it with third parties except the service providers strictly necessary to operate Forge's own features (e.g. the AI providers you configure).
8. Data retention and deletion
Local project files and stored credentials remain on your device until you delete them (via Forge itself, or by uninstalling it and clearing its data folder). Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to handle your request. To request deletion of any data we do hold about you, email us using the address below.
9. Children's privacy
Vifose Forge and vifose.com are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Forge's features change. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date.
